How to add Icons to App Thunkable Makeroid AppInventor

We can easily add icons to app, buttons, label and for other components also. For this we just need to upload a materialicons-Regular file to the buttons, labels, and for other components.



So now let's Do this in steps.

Step1
Download the materialicons-Regular file, you can download it through this link.

Step2
Upload the file to the Media Layout in the app screen, so that file will be available through out the whole app in all screens and we can use the file in any screen without uploading it in different screens again and again.As shown below
To upload the file just click on Upload File option as you see in the above pic with red border.
Once you click that option you will see the following options.

Now Click Select File option or you can just drag the file to there as you can see the message Drag Your File Here And once you uploaded the file Select Ok.

The file will be uploaded to the project and will be visible in Media Layout as you see below.
Step3
Now select the component which you want to change it into Icon.
(Here we selected Button to change it into home Icon)

Step4
Now select the Materialicon file to the front of button for this just go to properties of the component.
Step5
Now select the Font Typeface Import option and Select the Material fIle as show below

Now you will see in properties of the component that material file in Font Typeface.

Step6
Now type the name of the icon in component Text string as shown below.
(Here we typed the home in Text string because the name of Home Icon is home)
You can search the Icon names in search Engine or you can Have the names here below

That's it the button will change into Home Icon ๐Ÿ 
Note:-Icons are visible In live or .apk files only. Icons will not appear in Designing platform.As Text only appear in App screen preview or Design Platform.
